Creative Assembly has confirmed that the next entry into its Warhammer-based Total War computer game series, Total War: Warhammer II, is expected out Sept. 28.
Set in a new part of Games Workshop's Warhammer world, the game introduces four new playable races in a new narrative campaign.
Also announced by Creative Assembly and SEGA, the game's publisher, are a couple of special editions of Warhammer II. Already available for pre-order is the Serpent God Edition, which includes the base game along with a currently-unnanounced DLC that will add another race to the game, a replica weapon of the mighty Saurus warriors that doubles as an 8GB USB drive, a canvas map, a sheet of stickers, an art book, a strategy guide, and more. The Serpent God Edition comes complete in an embossed metal case.
There is also a limited edition version that will be available from select retailers. Included in this second special edition is the same metal case that the Serpent God Edition has, as well as a printed strategy guide.
Total War: Warhammer II is rated "M for Mature" by the ESRB.
