After numerous delays, the Kickstarter-funded Mighty No. 9 finally gets an official release date.

A platformer from from Mega Man designer Keiji Inafune, the game was supposed to come out in 2015 before being postponed to February, then Springtime.  The latest in a series of delays, the game is now slated to release on June 21.

Inafune appears apologetic about the delays.

"We understand that as a result of the various delays we have disappointed and let down our fans, but we are happy to finally be able to deliver the game to everyone who brought us this far," he said in a statement.

The June 21 release date is for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC versions.  No release information is yet available for the game's promised 3DS and PS Vita versions.
