Warner Bros. Interactive launched Mortal Kombat XL, which is an expanded version of the Mortal Kombat X video game, Tuesday.

Players who already own Mortal Kombat X can purchase the Mortal Kombat XL Pack, which includes content from the original Kombat Pack and the new Kombat Pack 2.  Those who already own the original Kombat Pack can purchase Kombat Pack 2 to experience brand-new characters the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, returning Kombatants Triborg and Bo' Rai Cho, and the new Apocalypse Skin Pack.  That is all in addition to other downloadable content.

Mortal Kombat X is NetherRealm Studios’ most recent installment in its legendary, critically acclaimed fighting game franchise that propels the iconic franchise into a new generation.  The game combines a cinematic presentation with gameplay that delivers what the developer calls "the most brutal Kombat experience ever."  The game also features a fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.

Mortal Kombat XL is available for PS4 and Xbox One.  The game is rated M for Mature by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB).
