GameWorks' National 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' showdown eSports Tournament coming to Las Vegas NINTENDO

The nation's best Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players will soon be descending upon Las Vegas as Sin City's GameWorks - Town Square prepares to host its National Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Showdown Esports Tournament.

Happening Friday, June 28, the championship tournament will take place at the recently upgraded 37,000-square foot GameWorks flagship Las Vegas location which features a dedicated esports lounge, occupying approximately 2,000 square feet within its space that boasts 100+ game options, 40 PCs, dozens of gaming consoles (Xbox, PS4, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch), and several couches for playing and viewing.  It also has a 10,000-square-foot arcade game floor with 150+ video and classic arcade-style games and an eight-lane bowling alley.

The events's participants qualified at a number of regional tournaments at GameWorks locations across the USA and are now in the Las Vegas championship which features a $25,000 with a prize pool that includes Alienware products, such as an Area 51M gaming laptop, and $10,000 cash.  For those who missed out on the qualifiers, there is one final chance to get into the Grand Finals as its final spot will be awarded to the winner of the last chance qualifier round that is to take place at GameWorks Las Vegas on June 28.

The grand finals of GameWorks Showdown will be streamed live on Twitch.
