Rising Star Games; upcoming 2D action platform game, 88 Heroes, will be coming out this March according to word from the game publisher Tuesday. The release window includes the announcement of a physical retail release of the otherwise digital title exclusively on PlayStation 4.
In addition to having both a physical and digital version of the game, the PlayStation 4 iteration will also include exclusive content not found on any of the game's other available platforms.
“We’re really pleased that gamers across so many formats will be able to play 88 Heroes in March,” said Martin Defries, Managing Director of Rising Star Games. “We have such belief in the game that we’re proud to be adding a boxed physical PS4 version of the game, with exciting additional content, to our jam-packed existing catalog, continuing our dedication to fans of physical releases”.
88 Heroes features a whopping 88 unique and original playable characters each with their own skills and abilities. The hero is randomly selected with each play, meaning players should always face new challenge each time. Furthermore, there are 88 levels across four zones for players to conquer, each with its own unique boss encounter. The game also boasts multiple game modes and planned DLC that will add more content and heroes to the mix.
Developed by Bitmap Bureau, 88 Heroes is coming out on PS4, PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One. The game is currently rated "RP - Rating Pending" by the ESRB.
