Limited Run Games announced Wednesday plans to have a physical release of murder mystery Thimbleweed Park on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Mar. 30.
For both platforms, a $34.99 standard version and a $64.99 collector's edition will be offered. The collector's edition includes with exclusive "feelies." Either way, the physical release will be a limited one. Once they're sold out, they're sold out.
Thimbleweed Park is a "whodunnit" mystery that is focused around an investigation into a dead body. The corpse was located under the bridge, but the Thimbleweed Park Sheriff has formally closed the investigation due to a lack of evidence, dwindling interest, and a desire to get home in time to watch some wrestling on television. That's were the player comes in. With officials stonewalling the murder investigation, it's up to the player to solve the case.
Developed by Terrible Toybox, Thimbleweed Park was made possible via Kickstarter where the game had some 18,000 backers. Furthermore, the game was created by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.
