Indie game 'Nairi: Tower of Shirin' announced for Switch, PC HOMEBEARSTUDIO

Indie developer HomeBearStudio announces its debut title, Nairi: Tower of Shirin, as a PC and Nintendo Switch game.

The game is described by HomeBearStudio as "a special fusion of point and click adventure puzzle game with stunning graphics and a cast that gives it its own unique quality ideally suited to the Nintendo Switch."

In Nairi: Tower of Shirin, the player follows a troubled upper-class girl named Nairi, as well as Rex, a gangster-turned-scholar, as they uncover a dark mystery involving the mysterious Tower of the oasis city of Shirin.  Gameplay-wise, the title features brain-teasing puzzles and wacky items that can be collected, traded, and combined.  Nairi also boasts a beautifully composed soundtrack and a huge amount of ridiculously cute hand-drawn charming characters and locations.

“We were going for a unique setting and art style, inspired not just by Japanese anime but also the likes of Disney and Pixar," says HomeBearStudio founder Joshua van Kuilenburg.  "The game comes across as endearing, rather than 'childishly cute'.”

In development for PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch, Nairi: Tower of Shirin is "coming soon."
