Pricing Announced for Upcoming Atari and Sega Retro Systems

AtGames, a manufacturer of retro video game consoles, portables and accessories, has announced pricing for its upcoming line of retro systems.

The Atari Flashback 8 Gold will be available Sept. 22 at a price of $79.99. This system will include 120 built-in Atari 2600 games, including Pitfall!Space InvadersCentipede and Kaboom!, and comes with two wireless controllers and two legacy controller ports. The system has 720p HDMI output as well as the ability to save, pause and rewind games. This system's predecessor, the Atari Flashback 8, will be sold at a new lower price of $59.99.

The Sega Genesis Flashback will also come out on Sept. 22 at a price point of $79.99. This system will come with 85 built-in Sega Genesis games, including the Sonic series, the Phantasy Star series, and the Mortal Kombat series. Like the Atari Flashback 8 Gold, the system comes with two wireless controllers, two legacy controller powers, 720p HDMI output and save/pause/rewind features. This system also has a cartridge slot that can play original Sega Genesis cartridges. This system,s predecessor, the Sega Classic Game Console, will have a new, lower price of $59.99.

Both systems also have portable versions on the way. The Atari Flashback Portable Game Player has 70 built-in Atari 2600 games, while the Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player will have 85 built-in Sega Genesis games. Both systems allow for increasing the game library via a SD card, rechargeable batteries, a 2.8" high resolution screen, and optional TV out. The Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player will also have save support for the Phantasy Star series.

Sept. 1 will see the release of the company's Atari Flashback Portable Game Player, the Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player, The Atari Flashback 8 Classic Game Console ($59.99), and the Classic Game Console ($59.99).

All of the consoles can be purchased at major retailers. The Atari Flashback 8 Gold and the Sega Genesis Flashback can be preordered online at various retailers starting on July 28. More information on these systems can be found on the AtGames website.
