PvP arena brawler 'Spellsworn' gets F2P release FROGSONG STUDIOS

The free-to-play PvP arena brawler, 'Spellsworn', from Swedish developer Frogsong Studios is now available via Steam.

“We drew inspiration from the WarCraft 3 custom mod, Warlocks, taking the fighting element of the game and building the whole Spellsworn experience around it”, said Stefan Jonsson, CEO of Frogsong Studios.  “It will appeal to those players who like quick skill-based fighting matches without the hassle of managing the economic side of the game."

In Spellsworn, players use tactics, quick reflexes, and spell combinations to get the better of their opponents.  Games can be played in teams or as a free-for-all in five-round matches for as many as eight players.  In between the rounds, players can customize their magic arsenal trading or upgrading spells and switching up their strategies.  In-environment hazards also play a role as they can wreak havoc on the playing field, causing damage over time to each player pushed off of the arena.

The free-to-play computer game, Spellsworn, is available for Windows and Linux/SteamOS PCs.  Along with the launch, Frogsong Studios has released new content including three new spells and more than 10 cosmetic items.
