'Magic: The Gathering Arena' enters open beta in late September WOTC

Wizards of the Coast says its upcoming Magic: The Gathering computer game, Magic: The Gathering Arena, will enter into open beta on Sept. 27.

Currently in closed beta, Magic: The Gathering Arena is the next generation in the digital version of the world's most successful collectible card game, Magic: The Gathering.  WotC says that in the days leading the game's open beta, all closed beta accounts will be wiped.  The same will happen to the game's closed beta forums.  Fortunately for closed beta players, WotC says all purchased gems will be refunded to players' account.

As a thank you, those who participated in the closed beta will get an email with a code that redeems Masterpiece copies of three Planeswalker cards in MTG Arena (1x Ral, Izzet Viceroy 1x Teferi, Hero of Dominaria 1x Vraska, Golgari Queen0.  WotC will also be hosting a special Singleton Event with no entry fee as soon as the Open Beta is live.

Magic: The Gathering Arena's open beta begins at 1pm PST on Sept. 27.
