New 'Final Fantasy' game launches for mobile

New 'Final Fantasy' game launches for mobile SQUARE-ENIX

Final Fantasy fans now have a new mobile-exclusive game at their disposal.

A free-to-play game with microtransactions, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was previously released in Japan where it currently has more than six million players.  Developer/Publisher Square-Enix says the game "is an entirely new role-playing adventure for the mobile generation."

Brave Exvius players follow a pair of knights of the kingdom of Grandshelt, and a young girl who suddenly appears before them.  The adventures begin their quest to pursue a highly sought after crystal.  Players will make their way through various types of dungeons to search for items, collect gil, uncover hidden paths, and venture new routes.

The game features traditional turn-based gameplay with streamlined battle mechanics and designed for touch controls.  The game also has appearances from characters from past Final Fantasy games such as the Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy, Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, Terra from Final Fantasy VI, and Vivi from Final Fantasy IX.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a collaboration between Square-Enix and gumi Inc. (developer of the mobile game Brave Frontier).  The game is available in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese (traditional), and Korean.
