The meditative puzzle game Semispheres is now available on PlayStation Vita from indie game studio Vivid Helix.
In the game, players use each of the Vita's analog sticks control to a different avatar in environments that might initially seem identical. They appear that way, but reveal profound differences crucial to progression. Portals allow the avatars to enter each other's reality, creating fiendishly complex inter-dimensional puzzles, with success reliant on methodical planning and skilful execution. It’s not all abstract brain workouts, however, as tension is introduced through the sentries that guard these worlds. Players must evade their fields of vision in order to find safe passage and the eventual re-synchronization of the worlds.
“Semispheres in an interesting take on puzzle games, that twists the genre into new and inventive ways,” said Radu Muresan, designer of Semispheres. “With a minimalist art style, single player and cooperative modes and a soundtrack by visionary composer Sid Barnhoorn, in Semispheres you need your mind in two places at one."
