Playdius, the publishing branch of game distributor Plug In Digital, has announced the imminent release of the iOS detective game Silent Streets: The Mocking Bird. This game has players exploring the Victorian-era town of Snowport, trying to solve a series of grisly homicides. In addition to voice acting and a compelling story, the game will notably make use of iOS's ARkit functionality, and players will use augmented reality to bring the mystery into the real world.
"We want to support premium, story-driven games -- particularly, truly original titles that will encourage players to think and play outside of the box," said Guillaume Jamet, Head of Publishing at Playdius. "With its gripping story and unique AR gameplay mechanics, Silent Streets: The Mocking Bird is a perfect follow up to Playdius’ recent release of the critically acclaimed mobile adventure title Bury Me, My Love."
Silent Streets: The Mocking Bird will be released on the App Store on March 1 for $2.99, though players can pre-order it now at this link or through their iOS devices. An Android version is in development as well, with no release date announced. More Silent Streets games are planned for the future.
