Nintendo and Universal are teaming up to bring the gaming company's iconic characters and games to life in the form of amusement park attractions at Universal Studios theme parks.
Areas themed around Nintendo I.P. are planned to launch at some point in the future at Universal Studios Japan, Hollywood, and Orlando. Each environment will be interactive and will include a number of attractions, shops and restaurants. Each Nintendo themed area will also contain a number of the gaming company's brands and characters including Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and others. Both Nintendo and Universal say there will be things in the new areas for people regardless of their age or gaming prowess.
The Nintendo areas are currently in the planning and creative stage as each park will have its own opening for the Nintendo-themed area. The two companies say the process will take several years.
