SteelSeries introduces a new gaming mouse at CES 2018 that features a new innovation in gaming sensor technology.
The company's newly-unveiled Rival 600 gaming mouse "TrueMove3+" dual sensor system. The system combines SteelSeries' TrueMove3 as its primary sensor, but also features a second optical sensor that specifically tracks lift-off distance. The company says this new technology removes all possibility of jitter and cursor disparity during liftoff movements while also offering the lowest lift-off distance in the market.
This is a breakthrough in gaming mouse sensor technology, said SteelSeries CEO, Ehtisham Rabbani. We took a massive leap forward in sensor innovation with Pixart with the TrueMove3 sensor in the Rival 310 and Sensei 310. Now were taking that innovation even further by combining the true 1-to-1 tracking of the TrueMove3 with a second optical sensor for precision. Its the only dual optical sensor system in the world that can offer this level of precision and accuracy of movement.
The Rival 600 is the newest member SteelSeries' Rival line. In addition to the new sensor system, the gaming mouse also features customizable weight and balance options for as many as 256 different combinations. The Rival 600s weights are placed in the sides and lets gamers adjust the weight throughout the body of the mouse rather than in just one spot. Without the eight 4g weights, the mouse clocks in at 96g. Furthermore, it features pure silicone grips and an ultra-durable soft touch finish on an ergonomic right-handed design.
The Rival 600 is listed at $79.99 and is already available for sale.
