Blindflug Studios' nuclear warfare game, First Strike: Final Hour, is slated for a May 31 release via Steam.
Originally released as a mobile title, this PC release has been optimized for the platform with new control systems, a graphical upgrade, and Steam support. The game also features double the number of super weapons for more strategic options and a new Diplomacy Mode, allowing players to form non-attack treaties with superpowers then stab them in the back.
"It seems the morbid fascination with nuclear diplomacy and war continues, so we're happy to indulge that curiosity by bringing First Strike to PC," said Moritz Zumbuhl, President & CEO, Blindflug. "The message of the game remains the same - that nuclear war is not pretty and no one wins - but it's still great fun to play and now open to a whole new audience. We also hope that it can help provoke thought on the tense position that the world has entered into."
The game studio also released a trailer showing of the PC version of First Strike: Final Hour.
Blindflug Studios is a five-person independent game studio from Zürich, Switzerland.
