Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings can soon simply use their smartphones to walk into Mordor as the company announces Middle-earth: Shadow of War for mobile.

A free-to-play real-time RPG, Shadow of War continues Talion’s journey through the cursed land of Mordor and features iconic characters from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, including Celebrimbor, Eltariel, Gimli, Boromir, and many more.  The game also introduces the series' Nemesis System to mobile devices for the first time, giving players the chance to build their own Orc army and create countless personal game experiences in the process.

WBIE is currently allowing mobile gamers to pre-register for the game at http://shadowofwar.com/mobile.

Those who choose to pre-register on Apple devices will receive an exclusive character bundle featuring Ratbag and an Orc starter army, while Android device users will receive a version of Shelob in her fair form character, who will be playable for the first time on any platform.  All content will be available at launch.

Developed by IUGO Mobile Entertainment in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile will be available this autumn on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices.
