Nintendo Switch gamers will soon be able play Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, a game that is currently available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A open-world adventure across a beautiful island, the game is coming courtesy of Prideful Sloth. Though a newer video game developer, Prideful Sloth is a veteran team of former Rocksteady developers and an Activision producer.
Yonder's journey follows a youth shipwrecked on the vibrant shores of Gemea, an expansive locale with eight different environments. Each location offers its own wildlife and ecosystem that can range from sunny sandy beaches to rolling grassy plains and steep snow-capped mountains. As the stranded protagonist explores the island and helps its inhabitants, they will uncover Gemea's secrets and become its champion. The hero will work with citizens to save the land and its people, while also uncovering their own mysterious past.
“The beauty of Yonder is in its calming pace and relaxing gameplay. You’re free to explore the open world however you choose; it’s a beautiful, safe, inviting world,” said Cheryl Vance, co-founder and director at Prideful Sloth. “The Nintendo Switch lends itself to leisurely, comfortable play. It’s a great home for the unique experiences that Yonder provides.”
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is rated "E10+" by the ESRB. The game will be available both digitally and as a physical release on Switch.
