What's old is new again as AtGames releases a selection of retro video game consoles.
Featuring classic video games of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, the Atari Flashback Portable Game Player, the Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player, the Atari Flashback 8 Classic Game Console, and the Sega Classic Game Console come loaded with classic games meant to bring your gaming childhood back to you.
The Atari Flashback 8 Classic Game Console comes complete with 105 pre-installed games. New to the line are Activision titles like Pitfall!, Kaboom!, and River Raid. Two wired controllers, styled after the Atari 2600 originals, are included, as well as two legacy controller ports to add your own optional wired joysticks or paddles.
AtGames' Atari Flashback Portable Game Player features a selection of 70 built-in games, including the Bandai Namco's PAC-MAN. Other pre-instaled games include Dig Dug, Pitfall!, and Frogger, and you can even add your own games with an optional SD card. It also features a build-in rechargeable battery. Games can be played on the portable’s built-in, high resolution 2.8” display, or on a TV via optional cable.
The Sega Genesis Flashback is designed to look like the original Sega Genesis console and features 85 built-in games. It also has a cartridge port that's designed to play almost all available Sega Genesis and Mega Drive original cartridges. Built-in games include the Sonic series, Mortal Kombat series, Phantasy Star series, and Shining Force series games. A pair of 2.4ghz wireless controllers, styled after the Sega Genesis originals, are included, as well as two legacy controller ports for optional wired gamepads. Other new features for the Sega Genesis Flashback include 720p HDMI output, scan line filtering, and a save/pause/rewind feature for every game.
Finally, the Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player boasts 85 built-in 16-bit Sega Genesis and Mega Drive classic games. The selection included titles feature PAC-PANIC and Splatterhouse 2, as well as many others. Users can also add their own games with an optional SD card. Games can be played on the portable’s built-in, high resolution 2.8” display, or on a TV via optional cable.
AtGames also today announced that the new premium HD versions of their classic gaming consoles: the Atari Flashback 8 Gold and the Sega Genesis Flashback will be available at major retailers starting on October 24. The Atari Flashback 8 Gold Activision Edition will be available at select retailers in November.
