In 153 B.C.E., the army of the Roman Empire battled the rebelling region of Numantia for twenty years, culminating in the Siege of Numantia, led by the Roman general Scipio Aemilianus. Now, two thousand years later, this important war is being brought to video games, in the turn-based strategy game Numantia.
Numantia takes place over the course of the 20-year war, allowing players to take the role of Numantia or Rome. Play the campaign by yourself, or challenge your friends to a one-on-one local multiplayer battle. As you go through the campaign, you'll have to make important decisions that can affect the outcome of the war. Numantia is the first Spanish-made game accepted by ICEX (España Exportación e Inversiones) to receive marketing support in the United States.
Numantia will be released on October 25, 2017. The game will cost $29.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and $19.99 on Steam. A trailer for the game can be seen below.
