WotC changes Core Set 2019 release date

WotC changes Core Set 2019 release date WOTC

Wizards of the Coast moves the release date of Magic: The Gathering's Core Set 2019 by one week.  Lucky for Magic players, that's one week forward rather than backwards.

The set, which was originally supposed to release on July 20, has been moved up to July 13, 2018.

Not only does the set's release date move up, but all dates associated with the set's release have also changed.  Magic Open House will now be from June 30 through July 1, 2018.  The set's prerelease will now take place on the weekend of July 7 and draft weekend on the weekend of July 14.  Core Set 2019's Magic Online launch will now take place on July 9 and will go on sale in the digital form on July 13.

WotC says the dates for the Core Set 2019 Store Championship (Sept. 15-16) and the 25th Anniversary Pro Tour (Aug. 3-5) will remain the same.
