Telltale Games, developers of games such as Tales from the Borderlands and the critically-acclaimed The Walking Dead, has shared the first screenshots and cast information for their upcoming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The player assumes the role of Star-Lord, as he and the other guardians stumble across an immensely powerful artifact, desired by each of them as well as by the game's as-yet-unknown villain. Screenshots from the game are pictured below.

Telltale will be talking more about the game at their PAX East panel, which takes place March 10 at 6 p.m. in the Albatross Theater; more information on the panel can be found here. One week later at SXSW, Telltale is inviting players to participate in a Crowd Play of the game at the Paramount Theater; doors open at 6:30 p.m. on March 17. More information about this event can be found here.

The voice cast for the game's main characters have also been revealed. Gamers will recognize Nolan North (the Uncharted series) as the voice of Rocket Raccoon; additional cast members include Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien (The Young and the Restless) as Gamora, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us) as Groot.

The game's first episode is scheduled for release this spring.
