Switch gamers can now give Frozenbyte's Nine Parchments a try via a playable demo that is now available for the console.
Tthe demo can be played with as many as four players in local co-op and includes tree levels: The tutorial at the Astral Academy, a shimmering beach level, and a boss fight against a gigantic Treasure Mantis. Oonline co-op and and access to features such as additional spells and the skill point system have been disabled. Frozenbyte says that these features will be supported in the full release.
"The full game is still in the submission process so we wanted to get demo in front of players to make the wait a little bit easier," said Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen. "We'll announce the exact launch date of Nine Parchments once the game has passed certification on all console platforms".
Nine Parchments combines real-time spell-shooting action with RPG elements and features a story about four would-be wizards who rapidly acquire powerful new spells without learning proper safety measures. The game is slated to release for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in very late 2017.
