The next Sonic The Hedgehog game, Sonic Mania, is coming Aug. 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

SEGA has also released a new trailer for the game.  Check it out below.

Developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon, and PagodaWest Games in collaboration with SEGA of America, Sonic Mania celebrates Classic Sonic The Hedgehog.  Boasting 60 FPS gameplay and "pixel-perfect physics," the game has players taking the roles of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and has players racing through zones both new and old.  Players can harness Sonic's new drop dash, Tails' flight, and Knuckles' climbing abilities to overcome the Dr. Eggman's robots. There is also a myriad of never-before-seen hidden paths and secrets waiting to be discovered.

Typically, newly-launched games cost some $60, but SEGA has decided to list Sonic Mania at a very affordable $20 at launch.  The game is rated "E for Everyone" by the ESRB.
