EA Sports brings mixed martial arts back to consoles with new gameplay features and animations, new social modes to challenge friends, and a new career mode.
The newly-launched EA Sports UFC 3, which is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, builds upon the previous release and boasts an improved striking game thanks to the new Real Player Motion technology that EA Sports implemented in the game. The tech features more than 5,000 new animations that were captured and rebuilt from the ground up. Because of it, players can now move, strike, and create seamless combinations in-game better than in previous games in the franchise.
“We’ve completely reinvented our striking game with Real Player Motion Tech, and we think fans are really going to love it,” said EA Sports UFC 3 Creative Director, Brian Hayes.
UFC 3 also has a new type of career mode called the G.O.A.T. ("Greatest of All Time") Career Mode. In this new take on the traditional career mode that's often found in sports video games, the choices that players make throughout their UFC career impacts their path to greatness. Outside of fights, players will make promotional choices to build hype, gain fans, earn more cash through big contracts, and capture the world's attention.
“EA Sports UFC 3 is the most realistic mixed martial arts game ever made,” says UFC President Dana White. “The new G.O.A.T. Career Mode gives you the opportunity to go from contender to champion by promoting your brand and performing inside the Octagon.”
The game also includes a suite of multiplayer modes designed for fast and fun fights that include commentary from rapper Snoop Dogg.
EA Sports UFC 3 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game is rated "T for Teen" by the ESRB.
