According to numbers from Sony, the PlayStation 4 has sold more than 60.4 million units globally. Furthermore Sony says that software sales, led by titles such as Horizon: Zero Dawn, also remain strong with more than 487.8 million copies sold at retail stores globally and through digital downloads on PlayStation Store. Those figures are accurate as of June 11, 2017.

On the software front, PS4's portfolio will continue to expand this year with new games including Destiny 2 (Activision Publishing, Inc.), Star Wars Battlefront II (EA), Gran Turismo Sport, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (SIE WWS). The independent development community will also continue to deliver a variety of innovative new titles for PS4 including Pyre (Supergiant Games) and Absolver (Devolver Digital).
