Retro Games Ltd., a game company experienced with the Commodore 64, and video game distributor Solutions 2 Go announced today that the classic Commodore 64 will be remade in a miniature format, known as the C64 Mini. At 50% of the size of the original Commodore 64, the system comes with a joystick and 64 pre-loaded games, including Boulder Dash, California Games, Pitstop II and Uridium. The system also has the ability to use quick saves, two USB ports for adding an additional joystick; users can also add a USB keyboard and use the C64 Mini as a home computer with C64 BASIC built in.
"We are delighted to be able to bring back some of the most loved retro games ever, on one of the most successful formats of all time", said Paul Andrews, Retro Games’ Managing Director. "The North American release of The C64 Mini is a reimagining of the classic C64 computer and one of a series of products we have on the way."
The C64 Mini will be available on October 9. A MSRP has not been announced.
