The open world survival game Stranded Deep is coming out next month for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from Telltale Games and developer Beam Team Games.
With an Oct. 9 release date, Stranded Deep takes place in the aftermath of a mysterious plane crash. The player is left stranded on a chain of deserted islands somewhere in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean and is alone without any means to call for help. Left with few options, players will need to test their survival skills as they explore underwater and on land, hunting materials to craft the tools, weapons, and shelter they'll need to stay alive.
Stranded Deep began as a Steam Early Access title and will (on Oct. 9) launch as a complete, fully-featured single-player experience on consoles. Content created for the console release will also arrive on PC later this year, following the console launch.
In addition, Stranded Deep on PS4 and Xbox One will be available in the following languages at launch: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Stranded Deep is rated "T for Teen" by the ESRB.
