The classic board game Monopoly is getting a Final Fantasy makeover as Final Fantasy VII Monopoly is announced with an April 2017 street date.
The game will be modeled on the classic, fast dealing property trading game, but will incorporate characters, locations, and lore from the Final Fantasy VII video game game, originally released in 1997.
Final Fantasy VII Monopoly is not the first time the Monopoly board game has received video game stylings. In the past, Fallout, Halo, and Assassin's Creed, and others have also had Monopoly versions made.
The initial artwork (which is subject to change) features Cloud, Aeris, Sephiroth, Cid, Tifa, Barrett, Sephiroth, and Cait Sith.
The Final Fantasy VII Monopoly board game is expected to retail for roughly $50.
