Perfect World Entertainment announced plans Wednesday to bring Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter to PlayStation 4 in mid-July.
Carrying a PS4 release date of July 19, Neverwinter will be a free-to-play title and PlayStation owners can get a head start exploring Neverwinter by picking up the Onyx Head Start Pack beginning on July 12. PWE says that PlayStation owners will not be required to have PlayStation Plus to play this online game.
Set along the iconic Sword Coast of the Forgotten Realms, Neverwinter transports players into a fully realized role-playing experience based on the Wizards of the Coast franchise with a living world and immersive fantasy storylines.
PWE says the PlayStation 4 version of Neverwinter will feature all existing content from the base game. This includes eight playable classes and nine expansions. This includes the game’s latest update, The Maze Engine, allowing players to experience the latest Dungeons & Dragons adventures with their friends. The PS4 version will also be optimized to incorporate the console's DualShock 4 touchpad and Party Chat integration.
In Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter, players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city in the Forgotten Realms and battling its many enemies.
Neverwinter is currently available on PC and is free to play digitally on Xbox One with Gold from the Xbox Games Store.
