After months of speculation, Apple today unveiled new a number of product upgrades – from new sizes for the iPhone X to a built-in EKG for the AppleWatch.
Social media played a huge part in the announcement event, with Apple sendng more than 95K tweets in many languages with the hashtag #AppleEvent, according to international social media analytics firm Talkwalker.
And while Apple drove its announcement strategy with Twitter, social media users were more than happy to jump on the bandwagon as the event unfolded and products were revealed. Since the event began at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT), there have been more than a 588.8K social posts, Talkwalkerreported at 4 p.m. EDT.
Some of the most interesting new features of the AppleWatch have commanded a great deal of social media attention. Like this one from @BarstoolSports, with more than 5,000 engagements.

Of the three new iPhone models, the iPhoneXs has attracted the most social media posts with more than 281.7K, while the iPhoneXsMax has 156.1K social media posts and the iPhoneXr has 120.9K. There have been 17.2K social posts related to the AppleWatch.
